The Nimbo posterior walker provides the user with support from behind, allowing them to help maintain a more upright posture and promote trunk extension.
Physical therapists prefer posterior (reverse) walkers for children with conditions like cerebral palsy and other neurological, orthopedic, and developmental disorders.
The walker is lightweight and folds, making transporting the Nimbo easy. 5" front and rear wheels are made from rubber, which are designed to grip any surface and don't slide backward. Rear wheels can be set to only roll forward, for users that suffer from limited ambulation ability. Added comfort is ensured with the smooth textured handgrip.
Finding the correct size can be achieved by measuring the user's wrist to the floor. Then find a Nimbo size with an appropriate handle height (equal to the user's wrist-to-floor measurement), with enough height adjustability for growth.
Available in five sizes: Tyke, Junior, Youth, Young Adult, & Adult.
Prescribing posture walkers can be difficult. You can contact us if you have trouble or need further assistance.
Seat: The walker can be purchased with or without the seat, but can be added on at a later time. The solid seat for the Nimbo Posterior Walker folds up and out of the way for walking and flips down for sitting.
Forearm Platform: For providing children with gutters that they can put their arm onto, helping support the child if they have weak hand function. Size small is used for Tyke & Junior sizes, while the Large size is used for users with a Youth, Young Adult or Adult walker.
Pelvic Stabiliser: The ideal solution for Nimbo walker users who have an asymmetrical posture when standing and walking, which prevents them from staying centered in the walker.
Bumper Guard: Bumper guards fit over front casters & protect walls from bumps.
Dial-A-Speed Tabs: Allows for variable resistance on rear wheels to control walker speed.
Soft Seat Harness: The Seat Harness moves with user's gait pattern allowing the user to shift weight from one leg to the other. Size small is used for Tyke & Junior sizes, while the Large size is used for users with a Youth, Young Adult or Adult walker.
9" Non Swivel Wheels: The size of the wheels is a factor to consider. The general rule with walker wheels is the larger the wheel, the easier it is to push, especially over rough ground.
