Houdini Harness
For safer travel and management of loved ones.
The Houdini Harness is designed to offer secure postural support when travelling in a car, or other means of transport. The Houdini Harness is available in 5 variants, which have been thoughtfully designed to suit the complex needs of the child, and the mounting points of the vehicle.
5 Harness Range:
- The Houdini 13 Harness buckles behind the seat, so the user cannot release them.
- The Houdini 22 Harness attaches to the user before entering the vehicle, making it popular for taxis.
- The Houdini 27 Harness is designed for single backrest seats, featuring a secure 5-point harness.
- The Houdini 28 Harness is the most popular harness, designed for bench vehicle seats with a 5-point harness.
- The Houdini 31 Harness is the most secure, featuring 7-point control with anti-escape buckles.
Safety and Security:
The Houdini Harness range is designed for children with special needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Down Syndrome, Asperger’s disorder, developmental delay or other challenging behavioural needs where the person has attention or safety problems.
Secure Buckle Range and Accessories:
Accessories include carefully designed buckles that prevent children with challenging behaviour or learning difficulties from escaping the harness during travel. Cross-strap accessories also fit to the harness to hold shoulder straps together & prevent them from slipping off.
The Anti-Escape Buckle operates in reverse to a normal buckle, which prevents children from releasing the buckle while travelling.
The Pen-Release Buckle Accessory requires the supplied release tool, or a pointed pen to prod the buckle release mechanism.
Must be worn in conjunction with a vehicle safety belt. For more information on the Houdini Harness range, please see the comparison chart in the product specifications.
