Where does DoAbility provide equipment to?

We've been providing the whole of Australia with our expertise & equipment for over 20 years. We ship equipment interstate to a range of different customers, such as schools, hospitals, education centers, end users, families, OTs, and carers.

We ship as far north as Cape York, and south as far as the South East Cape in Tasmania. With our diverse spread of couriers, we're also able to ship our equipment from Melbourne, all the way to regions as sparse as the Pilbara in Western Australia.

Through our couriers, we have been able to establish connections throughout the whole of Australia.

 

What is the ETA of my order?

It depends on what you are ordering. We pride ourselves on being able to provide a wide range of products to our customers so that they can find the right product for themselves and their needs. With this, comes various challenges, which we do our best to overcome.

But largely it depends on the items themselves. Low-end utensils and products like Bathroom Aids, Daily living Aids, and Mobility products like Walkers, Wheelchairs, Walking sticks, etc, are typically ready to go within 2 business days of ordering, excluding courier times.

Items such as Moon Boots, Braces, and post-op shoes, can be dropshipped straight from our supplier, which typically takes less than 2 days to receive (some recipients receive their products the next day!

Specialised Equipment and high-end products are usually ordered in on request, and you can contact the office regarding the ETA of products (according to the suppliers) for a rough estimate.

Beds are only ordered on request/order and have lead times between 1-3 weeks. You can always check with us if you have an urgent requirement, as we sometimes have spares.

 

How long does the courier take?

Once we have given off your order to the courier, it's up to them. General processing times are 2-3 business days, and once the items have been dispatched you can expect the following:

Please note that these are rough guides. Palletised freight might take longer than these advised times, and items like moon boots and braces usually arrive 1-3 Business Days from order.

 

Do you offer In-Home services?

If you are in Metro-Melbourne, you can simply call us to arrange a quote or invoice for an In-Home delivery of a particular item. We have a team of delivery drivers with vans that are ready for basic installations of some of the goods we sell.

If you are ordering a Bed, or another Big/Bulky Item, we automatically choose to offer our In-Home service, given you are situated in a location within Metro Melbourne.

 

How does the delivery of Beds & other large items work?

For Melbourne-based Customers: Once your bed/large item has been received by our warehouse, we will contact you regarding an appropriate time for the delivery of this good.

For Interstate Customers: Unfortunately, as we do not currently have set-up bases interstate, we are typically only able to provide a palletised freight service. This means the installation of the bed into the house is managed by you once the courier has delivered the bed. Some beds are substantially easier than others to set up/install in homes, and we advise you to check with the office regarding the difficulty of setting up the bed, so you can make your decision.

However, we are also able to collaborate with some of our suppliers, who kindly offer their services. Customers based inside Sydney who are ordering CobaltHealth beds will have their beds installed by CobaltHealth.

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING BED DELIVERY

Electric Beds are not light. They are heavy, and large expensive products. Carrying these products upstairs can be dangerous for our staff, and also for the house.

If you are ordering a bed, and you have limited space, stairs, or staircases, we may refuse to deliver the goods. If it is deemed that we are not able to deliver the bed due to safety concerns, we will contact you regarding a quote for removalist companies to install the bed for you.
