Glideabout Commode
The Glideabout Commode is an economical and versatile showering, toileting and transfer aid for people who cannot readily access a toilet. It can be used as a bedside commode, a shower commode or an over-the-toilet aid, and helps transfer users with restricted mobility between the bedroom and bathroom.
Its sturdy tubular steel frame sits on four swivel braking castors, so it can be positioned close to the user, wheeled between rooms and kept clean with ease. The removable armrests, backrest and swing-away footrests make getting in and out quick and safe.
Who is this for?
The Glideabout suits people who find it difficult or unsafe to reach a standard toilet and need one aid that works at the bedside, over the toilet and in the shower. With a 165kg safe working load and wheeled transfers, it is well suited to home and aged care use where a carer assists someone with restricted mobility.
