Before you order
Can I use my funding for this purchase?
We cannot answer that one. We can tell you what something costs, how long it takes, and whether it suits the person and the room. Whether your plan covers it, and whether the funds are available right now, sits with you, your plan manager or the NDIA.
Two things worth checking first. Plans release funds in periods rather than all at once, so the total on your plan may not all be available today. And for higher cost or higher risk equipment the NDIS generally expects written advice from a therapist or an assistive technology adviser before you buy.
Current guidance is on the NDIS website. If you are unsure, ask your plan manager or support coordinator before you order.
Do I need a quote or advice from my therapist?
For everyday aids, usually not. For higher cost equipment, or anything with a safety consideration, the NDIS generally expects written advice from an allied health practitioner or an AT adviser. Your therapist or plan manager will tell you which applies.
Quotes are free. They are itemised line by line and have an expiry date printed on them. Send us the model, configuration and accessories you need priced and we will put it together, including delivery and any installation.
You can also arrange a trial before anything is prescribed, or visit the showroom in Maribyrnong.
What if my invoice needs correcting, or funding is declined?
Wrong details on the invoice? Wrong plan manager, wrong participant details, needs reissuing. Email support@doability.com.au and we will fix it. An invoice with the wrong details on it will sit unpaid, so it is worth sorting quickly.
Funding declined or not available? The invoice stays unpaid and the goods do not go out. We can cancel the order, hold it, or reissue the invoice against a different plan or payer.
Can I cancel or return my order?
Before dispatch, ring us. If the invoice has not been paid the order has not gone anywhere.
After it arrives, you have 14 days to return most items if you have changed your mind, provided they are new, unused and unopened. If something does not perform as expected, 30 days. You pay the return freight, and big and bulky items carry a 20% restocking fee.
Change of mind returns are not available on hygiene items such as mattresses, pillows, continence products and compression garments, or on custom-made, clearance, second-hand and hire equipment.
Faulty is different. If something is faulty, unsafe or not as described, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply to every item, including the ones listed above. Report transit damage within 48 hours.
Refunds go back to whoever paid. If your plan manager paid, it returns to your plan. Full returns policy
