Configura Cocoon Backrest
The Configura Cocoon Backrest is an adjustable, pressure-reducing backrest for Configura chairs. Each of its nine cells can be tuned by changing the position or amount of stuffing, so the support can be shaped to suit the individual user.
On the standard Configura waterfall backrest, the Cocoon replaces the two bottom cushions to create a more comfortable, supportive seating position. Paired with the reduced shear backrest on the Comfort and Advance chairs, it adds extra trunk support while retaining comfort and pelvic position.
Who is this for?
The Cocoon Backrest suits users who need extra trunk support and pressure relief through the back of a Configura chair. It is a good option where the standard backrest does not provide enough postural support, and where being able to fine-tune firmness across nine cells helps get the fit right.
