Invacare Rea Azalea Tilt-in-Space Wheelchair
The Invacare Rea Azalea is a configurable rehabilitation wheelchair for users who need regular repositioning, postural support and comfortable seating throughout the day. It combines 25 degrees of tilt, 30 degrees of backrest recline and adjustable seating, with self-propelled and attendant-propelled configurations available.
Tilt and Recline That Follow the Body
The seat tilts while the backrest reclines through a separate movement, allowing the user’s position to be changed for pressure redistribution, posture and comfort. Invacare’s Dual Stability System moves the seat down and forwards during tilt, while the backrest hinge follows the body during recline to help reduce sliding, friction and shear.
Configured Around the User
Seat width, seat depth, backrest height and supporting components can be adjusted around the user. The Flex 3 backrest adjusts in height, width and shape, allowing it to provide firmer support or accommodate different trunk, hip and shoulder shapes.
Self-Propelled or Attendant-Propelled
The Azalea is available with large rear wheels for self-propulsion or as the Azalea Assist with smaller rear wheels for attendant use. Manual tilt and recline are standard, with powered adjustment available so the attendant or user can change position using a hand control.
