Invacare Rea Azalea Max Tilt-in-Space Wheelchair
The Invacare Rea Azalea Max is the wider, higher-capacity model in the Azalea range. It is designed for users who need a larger seating system, regular repositioning and ongoing postural support throughout the day. Self-propelled and attendant-propelled configurations are available, supporting users weighing up to 180 kg.
Wider Seating and Higher Capacity
The extended seating system provides a seat depth of 53 to 60 cm and adjustable seat widths starting at 55 or 61 cm. The two sections of the backrest can be reversed to provide more room around either the hips or shoulders.
Tilt and Recline That Follow the Body
The seat tilts through up to 20 degrees and the backrest reclines through up to 30 degrees. The Dual Stability System moves the seat down and forwards during tilt, while the back and leg supports compensate for body length to help reduce sliding, friction and compression during repositioning.
Configured for the User and Carer
Manual attendant-operated tilt and recline are standard, with powered adjustment available when easier or independent repositioning is required. Ergonomic push handles assist the carer, while the three-part footplate has a removable centre section to provide more space during transfers.
