Rifton E-Pacer Gait Trainer
The Rifton E-Pacer is a powered gait trainer designed for clients who have grown too large or too dependent to be safely transferred into a manual gait trainer. The electric lift column raises and lowers the body support system to perform the sit-to-stand transfer that is part of every gait training session, with no lifting required from the caregiver. The column adjusts from 83 cm to 150 cm, accommodating users up to 196 cm tall and 159 kg.
The expandable base legs widen to fit around larger wheelchairs and provide additional step width during gait training. An optional Bluetooth-equipped scale connects with the Rifton Gait Tracker app to track a client's weight-bearing progress over time on Android or iOS. The E-Pacer can also be used for seat-to-seat transfers between a wheelchair and a mat table or other therapy surface.
